Concentric Rings for Complete Clarity
When you launch Pillow, you’ll notice two concentric rings at the heart of the main screen:
Outer Purple Ring — Sleep Quality
This ring shows your daily Sleep Quality score, ranging from 0% to 100%. The higher the score, the better you slept that day. Sleep Quality in Pillow is a holistic metric that takes into account various aspects of your sleep sessions:. Duration of each sleep session, Time it took to fall asleep, Distribution and percentages of different sleep stages (e.g., Light, REM, Deep) and more.
If you have more than one sleep session in a day (for example, a nighttime sleep plus a nap), the outer ring will display a weighted average of all sessions. Longer sessions influence the daily score more than shorter sessions, ensuring an accurate overview of your daily sleep quality.
Inner White Ring — Sleep Duration
Located inside the Sleep Quality ring, this circle fills up based on how many hours of actual sleep you got, compared to your set goal.
The inner ring represents the total amount of time you spent asleep, not just the time you spent in bed. By default, Pillow sets this goal at 8 hours—once you hit or exceed that goal, the ring will complete. If you have different needs, you can easily adjust the sleep duration goal in Pillow’s settings.
